summer update/visitor day

Finally, for Jill (grin), here is a shot of 3 Speckled Sussex.  I have 6 and they are my favorite breed so far.  They should start laying this month but the heat has really taken a lot out of the older hens and they are not laying much.

Here is the proverbial dog in the pool cooling off in this awful heat.  This is Luna.  Fig will not go in the pool...big chicken, silly dog.

You would think he would go in the pool with Luna after running around like this!
 ...and this....
 Shady spot is good...
I think they'd be attached at the hip if they could...
Linda visited today!  She just *had* to meet FIG since she has been following Fig's Dad, Nugget and that first litter where Fig came from.  We had a great visit!  Corgi lovers rock!
I LOVE this 'almost' candid shot.  Luna is listening to me and Fig is behind her  saying "what ever Luna says is good with me"

  1. Those two dogs are so connected, aren't they? I love that Linda made it out to meet Fig. A year ago whe was glued to her phone and to FB as the pups were delivered and thrived. Getting the two of you together is a dream come true for me. Thanks for everything you do for me, but mostly for your kind heart.

    1. I had the best time meeting Rita and the fur kids. Beautiful lady and beautiful farm! It was an absolute dream come true for me to meet Rita, Fig, Luna and the gang. Rita has so much knowledge about the cardigan corgi. A walking encyclopedia. Thanks for allowing me to visit your lovely home and your heaven on earth. My love of All things Nugget and to meet a Nugglet-priceless!

  4. I always enjoy seeing Fig on your blog. I adopted his littermate Saba (Sunny), from the Sushi litter of Galena Cardigans. I was able to first see Fig at 6 and 9 weeks old. Happy 1st birthday to the Sushi litter! Carola

    1. Great to hear from you Carola...a big "hello' to Sunny and Happy BD. Does Sunny like to play and hide *under dog beds and pillows too?

  5. Yes, Sunny especially likes to try and get under his big soft beds. He also likes to be scared, jump out of skin, by his kitty who hides under the blanket and then moves. Clown dogs. One of his names is Prince Clowny. Carola
